Bing Canyon, WA
Bing Canyon Pioneer Camp (BCPC), supported by AgriNorthwest, a large irrigated farm near Plymouth, Washington, offers a site where stake and ward groups can conduct 3 or 4 day youth pioneer treks. The terrain for the trek is rolling hills and small canyons, and the vegetation is prairie grass and low shrubs. Elevation of the ranch ranges from 500 to 1,000 feet. Groups can pull handcarts over approximately 18 miles of cross country routes.
In July, this area can see temperatures 90 degrees or more, and with this terrain and vegetation, you will have lots of exposure to the sun. It is very important to drink plenty of water prior to trek so that you can be prepared for these conditions.
